We were first time buyers and he patiently walked us through many of the details of buying a house. He spoke in objective facts when reviewing houses and offers, and his pre-offer report was always very enlightening. In this competitive market, we had to strategize pretty intensely and Jeremy pulled out all the stops including customizing cover letters, helping us schedule last-minute inspections, supervising said inspections and sending late night emails. We worked with Jeremy from May-July 2021. As first-time homebuyers, we really appreciated Jeremy’s relaxed and honest approach. He didn’t come across as “sales-y” and seemed very knowledgeable about the Seattle housing market. He helped us through making our first offer on a house we had toured with him, answering questions from us at all times of day by phone call or text. He cautioned us against waiving inspections and other contingencies in order to protect ourselves. Once our offer was accepted, he kept us on track with helpful reminders to meet all our deadlines and fulfill contingencies. When we found something in the title report that didn’t work for us, Jeremy respected our decision to terminate the contract, and took care of the paperwork it took to do so. After our first offer didn’t work out, Jeremy remained present and sup portive. We met with Jeremy at his office to talk more about what we were looking for. Over the coming weeks, we continued to tour properties in the evenings and on weekends, some with Jeremy and some with his associates, who were also punctual and fun to talk with. Throughout the search, Jeremy wasn’t pushy, and we didn’t feel like he was pressuring us to make an offer on another property. He assured us a number of times that there would be other houses – that if it took us a long time to find one we love, that’s okay. If we missed out on one or more offers, we’d have more chances. Eventually, we did find another house we loved when we attended an open house by ourselves. Jeremy was just returning from a week of vacation, but was ready to jump in and help us write up our next offer. This one went much more smoothly since we knew the basics and what to watch out for. After the initial flurry of activity, the rest of the process went like clockwork behind the scenes. Jeremy helped to co ordinate an inspection, and attended the Orientation Walk-Through for our new construction townhome. At the Walk-Through he marked a number of repair items with blue tape, including a dent in the dishwasher door we wouldn’t have noticed without his help! A week later, Jeremy joined us at our new home the evening of closing after 6:30pm to give us the keys. Redfin is a very attractive and easy-to-use website for finding properties that met our needs, and Jeremy added the human element to the experience with his friendly professionalism.
